WEB SITE: www.allwayscargo.com CORPORATE PROFILE All Ways Cargo Portugal SA was established in 1993 in Lisbon and Oporto and although the core business was mainly oceanfreight, an airfreight department has existed ever since the company's foundation. We early became CASS member and later on, 01.12.97 IATA member. The Airfreight product has increased substantially during these past 16 years, bringing our company to the top ten in Portugal (IATA rank) Portugal has a population of 10 million people. The main export products are auto parts, electronics, cork products, wearing apparel, moulds, wines, marble, pharmaceuticals and earthenware. The principal destination markets are Europe, USA, and Portuguese speaking countries such as Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, S. Tome and East Timor. The main import commodities are hardware and software, telecomunication materials, electronic equipment, foodstufs and machinery originating from Western Europe, China and US. There are 3 major airports in mainland Portugal, Lisbon, Oporto and Faro. All of them with bonded warehouses and fully equipped to receive perishable, dangerous and valuable goods. As outland airports, Funchal at Madeira Island, and Ponta Delgada, Terceira, Horta and Santa Maria at Azores Islands completes the range of Customs airports, all of them served by Lisbon and Oporto. All the airports are located on a 10 kms radius from the cities which brings an added value for the airfreight services. Due to the increase in air traffic and the consequent congestion added to space constraints near the actual airport, Lisbon will be receiving a new airport. This airport is expected to be fully operational in 2017, and will be located 22 kms south of Lisbon and involves an investment of 3.2 Billion Euros. Due Portugal strategic geographic position, it is expected that the new airport facilities will allow Lisbon to maximize the potential for passengers & cargo traffic and use it as the European gateway from/to Brazill (actually 56 flights per week for several main and inner cities) and Angola (actually 11 flight per week to Luanda) as well for Madeira Island and Azores (80 and 65 flights per week).
